Topological Method and its Application to the Analysis of the Map of

Kanggyebu of Chosun

We analyse the old map of Kanggyebu of Chosun by topological method and geometrical
method and compare it with the map of the region of Ablok river and Hon river. We can see

that the old map of Kanggyebu is not a topological map of the neighborhood of North Korea
Kanggye and Manpo.
By the analyse of the map of Kanggyebu of Chosun we find the real place corresponding to

the old map of Kanggyebu. The map of Kanggyebu is a topological picture of the
neighborhood of Jian(集安), Huanren(桓仁), Tonghua(通化), Daruzhen(大路鎭), Maticun

(馬蹄村) and etc.
Many Koreans have learned and recognized that Kanggyebu of Chosun is the
neighborhood of North Korea Kanggye. But, after reading this paper they change their old

recognitions.
