Gilgamesh tablets [Figure 9] as the only surviving ruins of the Nabu Temple in Nineveh,
as well as the Assyrian Banipal Library, made it possible to compare the Old Testament
“Journey of Genesis” with the “Story of the Storm” of this collection, and have since been

used as a source. Remarkable researches of linguistics and ancient literature were used. The
myth of the “Tower of Babel” and the division of a single language into countless languages

was matched with the help of the incoherent parts of the Gilgamesh Tablets, and spec-
ulations were made about the origin of the first ancient language.
The epic “Gilgamesh” is one of the first philosophical ideas about death, which is ex-

                 pressed in an epic style.
Epic is a kind of fictional poem that has a completely objective aspect, not a subjective

one. For that matter, the artist never talks about himself and that is why the narrator is
unknown. The civilization of a nation as a whole, with all its habits and morals, can be well
seen in this epic; even the natural and unnatural powers that influence the evolution of that

                 nation.

                 6. Conclusion

Cultures around the world often have common and universal elements, which were ini-
tially formed in the beginning of human civilization. These universal elements usually re-

appear over and over again in later generations, as though they were genetic code, no matter
how many years pass by—be it a thousand years or tens of thousands of years. Likewise,
there are many similarities between Sumerian account of the story and those mentioned in

                 the ancient Korean civilization.
The similarities are as deep as philosophical concept of the universe, and as far as customs

                 of food, clothing, and ceremonies.
Further archeological investigations will certainly reveal more similarities and help with
concrete claims about the origins of the stories.

                 7. The suggestions for future parallel studies of Hwandan Gogi and

                    Sumerian culture

There are several stories about origins of Sumerians, the way they arrived into
Mesopotamia and the technology that they developed in their civilization.

Anyhow the legend of Sumerians does not end here. The matter is that there is much
